text color changes - Word email editor

When using Word as the email editor, is there any way to
control the series of font colors used for each subsequent
response message?

Essentially, I'd like the email text to always be black,
or at worst blue. Despite making changes under Tools >
Options > Mail Format tab > Fonts button, when I use Word
as the email editor, the settings don't apply.

We are using Outlook 2000 in an Exchange environment.

If you are using Word as the editor, ensure that you are not using a Theme
or Style. This is what is normally going on when the replies and replies to
replies begin to show several different colors.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to the Swen
virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted
w/out reading.
