How do I change the default font and color in Outlook 2007?

I have Outlook 2007 (and Word 2007, actually Microsoft Office 2007). When I
go to tools/options/mail format the "stationery and fonts" button doesn't
work. Neither does signature or editor options. My replies and new emails
are defaulting to blue text and Calibri pt. 11 font, neither of which I want.
I've looked everywhere for an answer and can't find it. I tried in Word
options, but can't find anything regarding email options. I can change the
font/color for every email, but that's annoying and time consuming, I'd
rather it default to what I want.

I am having a similar problem. It will let me select my default options, but
will not honor them.

Outlook 2007 does not use Word. When you get to the Mail Format is HTML set
as the format for outgoing Mail.

If I understood your post correctly you are saying HTML must be the default
message creation format for the default font settings to work? I did prove
this to be the case. I changed my default from text only to HTML and now the
default font settings are working great! Thanks!
