My Word as email editor font colors do not match what I am actual.

I understand when I type a reply that the color will be different - but
sometimes the paint can icon will be black, blue, dark blue or dark green and
what I am typing will actually be different ... sometimes if I go to edit an
email that is in black and I insert the cursor in the middle of the text and
begin typing, the new text is blue and in a different font style.

My question is: what are the rules for fonts when using Microsoft Word as
the Microsoft Outlook email editor?

We use Office 2003. Thank you.

The paint can is set to what you've used last. There are some other tricks
to it as to why it may show a different color than what you are typing but
for now, just keep in mind that it is not a direct indication.

When you are typing in the original text, you'd be typing in the
Reply/Forward font settings.

Thank you Roady - I'll keep that in mind. This is an issue the "boss" is
having however and I'm hoping to find something he'll understand. A chart or
table would be ideal but my guess is no one has broken it down that way - at
least no one who would be likely to make it available here. If I can jot
down a list of scenarios today I'll post it as another reply.

Thank you.
