text box problems in word

i have created a word document using word 2003. inside the document i have
used text boxes and check boxes from the "control toolbox" toolbar. The
problem I am having is each time I open up the word document, I have to
choose exit design mode. I have tried protecting the document, saving the
document after I choose exit design mode and nothing seems to help. Does any
one have a fix for this. The information being entered into the text boxes
and check boxes are not related to any macros or code. The document is just
being printed with the information, the information is not being linked or
stored elsewhere.

The items you have used are ActiveX objects, specifically intended for use
with code. Read Help on creating forms, then start again using the text
field and checkbox objects from the Forms toolbar.
