IN account settings, try checking the "my server requires authentication"
box. Under settings on that you can use same as incoming mail server or the
infomration from your ISP if yu are using email other than ISP provided.
Worked for me!

Gee...calling someone who is trying to help you an "idiots" is not really a
good strategy to solicit further assistance.

At the risk of being called a name I'll submit a suggestion....what Neil was
trying to tell you is to make sure you have entered your username and
password that should have been supplied to you by your ISP. Another
suggestion would be to go to your ISP's web site. Most of them will have a
page or two that provide instructions on how to properly configure Outlook.

Now...time to don the asbetos pants.

OK...well, that sure works for me. I am now sufficiently incented to go that
extra mile to research a solution to your original post. Hopefully you will
then not be inclined to threaten me with a menagerie of untold (but, may I
add, witty) afflictions. Being called an idiot is not so bad...but that cave
thing really got my attention.

search for solutions .... i am all for that. but do not have patience for
timewasters. when a user in a newsgroup rightly or wrongly speaks his/her
mind then we have a formation of an anonymous group of people who have
nothing better to do then condemn that user. tim i am grateful you are
making an effort to search for a solution. far from giving threats i am the
opposite in character so i don't know why or how you've misjudge this user.

now lets not make a song and dance about my unpleasant remark ( made at a
time when no relevant or sensible solutions were suggested ) and for which i
do feel sorry and hope my issue is resolved. have a nice day all !! thank
you.

Obviously you are smoking your own nickname!

Wrongly speaking your mind is kind of light for deliberately insulting
someone who is trying to help you. Let me remind you that is the "idiots"
here that actually take time to research their computers and software so that
they can answer the questions asked and I am thankful to all of them.
Now you are stuck on your own to figure it out for yourself, good luck!

i am not stuck and i am not own on my owm. girls and beautiful girls will
rescue me in the end. so there !!

Would these girls (and the beautiful ones too) happen to be located in some
caves in Afghanistan? Do they have a broadband connection?
