TERMINAL SERVICES no licensing server available

Luis Jesus

I had a w2k server running TS licensing and the server
crashed. I have installed TS licensing on another server
and have a backup of the licensing data but it
says "cannot find any licensing servers in the domain"

Can anybody help me??

If the new Licensing Server is not installed on a Domain Controller, the
Terminal Server will probably not find it. Try to hardcode the address of
the LS into the register of the TS:

239107 - Establishing Preferred Windows 2000 Terminal Services License
Server

Had you hard-coded the TS License Server in the registry of your TS
boxes? Check the following:

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TermService\Parameters

If there's an entry for your old server under "DefaultLicenseServer"
just modify it and reboot.
