Terminal services and handwriting recognition

I'm using XP professional tablet Edition through
terminal services. The server is using MS 2000 server
edition. I can't get the handwriting recognition to
work. I can use the keyboard pad to work on the screen,
but when I change to the handwriting it doesn't work. Is
there a known issue with Terminal services sessions and
the handwriting recognition.
