Terminal Server Licensing Question

M

Michael D. McGill

I installed terminal services on a win2k server. The 90 day licensing period
has run out (at least that is what I am assuming, when I try to connect to
the server I get an error stating: "The terminal server has ended the
connection."). I have purchased 3 CALs and am now going to attempt to
install the licensing server.

My question: since the 90 period ran out clients can no longer connect to
the terminal server and the ability to stop or start the terminal service is
greyed out in the services applet. Can I just go ahead and set up the
licensing server and it will re-enable terminal services or do I have to do
things differently (uninstall and reinstall terminal services before I set
up licensing?).

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Yes, installing the license server, activating, and installing the CALs
should fix your problem.
