Hello All,

I had TS running on a Win2K Server. Recently, it stopped accepting
connections. When I checked the TS Services I found it was showing "Started"
but the control buttons were greyed out so I couldn't stop or restart the
service. I uninstalled and reinstalled TS, still the same result. I've even
scanned for viruses. Nothing.

I can restart the server with TS in Manual mode which will give me the Start
button in the Services window, however when I start the service it shows as
"started" but all controls are greyed out and it will not accept
connections.

Has anyone else seen this before? Any suggestions on resolving this?

Troy

The grey buttons that you see are normal:

278657 - Terminal Services Cannot Be Manipulated

You'll have to find out why TS is not accepting connections. Have
you checked the EventLog? Have you checked if the listener session
is "down"? Is it listening on port 3389 (with netstat -an)?

Hey Vera,

The system is listening on port 3389 and there are no errors in the App Logs
or in the System Logs.

Any other thoughts?
