Starting Terminal Services

K

Ken

I am attempting to start Terminal Servers on a Win2K
Server. When I start TS, it just keeps "starting". I am
new to my position (and to TS) and I think I have figured
out why the previous employee never ran TS on this
server. It has been "Starting" for about 4 hours now and
I cannot get it to stop. Any suggestions on what I
should do?
Thanks in advance for your help.

You probably mean the service itself? You cannot start or stop
this service by hand, that's by design.

Make sure that it is configure to start automatically and reboot.
If it doesn't start then, chec the EventLog for error messages.
In which mode is Termional Services supposed to run? Remote Admin
or Application mode? If in Remote Admin mode, you could actually
uninstall and reinstall TS, and see if that fixes the problem.

Feel free to repost when you have more details.
