W2K Rollup 1 is stopping TS.

I have been able to TS into my W2K server until last Friday when I installed
rollup 1 for W2K. I have tried to stop and restart TS on the server, but I
can't. The service says that it is started, but all the commands like stop
and restart are grayed out. I have seen this before when a service is stuck.

I have disabled the service and rebooted the sever then started the service,
but that doesn't seem to work either. I am back to the same problem. It also
seems to affect the WSUS client since that server has not reported to the
WSUS server since I installed the patch. I don't want to uninstall the patch,
but if that is the only way to make it work then that is what I will do.

Does anyone have suggestions or had this problem before?

The fact that you cannot stop or restart the Terminal Server
service is by design, as documented here:

Exactly what is the problem when you try to connect to the TS? Do
you get an error message? Is the server listening on port 3389?
Have you seen this article:
