Tentative Meetings on Calendar

J

Julie Ohl

When a user receives a meeting request, sometimes the meeting gets
immediately placed on the user's calendar as a tentative meeting, even if
the user has not touched the meeting request. Most of the time, that
tentative meeting disappears after about 30 minutes, although sometimes it
disappears within minutes, and other times it stays on the calendar
indefinitely, even if the user has not accepted or declined the meeting.

1) What controls whether or not this tentative item is placed on the
calendar?
2) Is there a way to control how long it stays on the calendar?

If the client opens the meeting but still does not
accept/decline it will show as tentative on their
calendar.

I have seen cases where they have not even touched the message and it still
gets entered on their calendar as tentative.

That is correct as well
