temporrary internet files

I always have 12 temporrary internet files (with xxx.gif and ?.htm
names) and they do not get deleted from the folder C\documents and
settings\administartor\local settings\Temporary Internet Files. Upon
deleting these I get the message "cannot delete file: cannot read from
the source file or disk".
Please guide as to how the delete has to be done.

These files are probably being used by Windows. Check the properties of
these files and make sure they are NOT hidden, system or read-only.

You may want to delete them from command prompt.
