Having some trouble with temporary internet files. I used to be able to click
view settings under internet options and be able to view every single page
that was visited on my computer. Its not working anymore. BEfore there used
to be an internet explorer symbol next to the name of each page, now there is
an Windows XP symbol next to most of them. Also I cannot change to amount of
space used for temporary internet files, it is 31,402. It used to be much
higher. What happened? Did I or someone else change some sort of setting??
This PC needs to be closely monitered for internet pages visited. Any and all
help appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
The inability to change the size of the Temporary Internet Files folder
probably indicates a corrupted folder.

Try deleting the Temporary Internet Files folder for the affected user
account. Make sure that you can see hidden files (Folder Options> View) Then
login as another user with administrator privileges, or from the machine's
default administrator account (startup in safe mode) and delete the affected
TIF folder from Windows Explorer. It will be at [C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files]

It's often recommended that the TIF folder size be set to about 50-60 MB. A
larger cache may be more prone to corruption.

Hope this helps,
Don
