"Temporary Internet Files" Folder. Is it always OK to delete contents?

I want to radically clean up my C: drive and my external backup drive.
¿¿ Is it always OK to delete the contents of folders such as

....\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files for all user names??

I use CCleaner, but it does not appear to delete all such files. I use both
MSIE and Mozilla Firefox, and perhaps it deletes only the temp files for
MSIE; I do not know.

That hardly cleans up C: drive since most are only cookies.Try run, type:
%Temp% Go to edit,select all,delete all,close out.Return to run,type:
C:\WINDOWS\Temp Edit, select all, delete all (some will not delete as they
are in use),close out Temp.Run disk clean up.

Does ccleaner get the Firefox cache. Temp internet folders is only IE.
C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application
Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<randomfilename>\Cache

well, though ccleaner
works good on some
configurations, it is
not always thorough
on some, like the o.p.

but it doesn't mean
that i wouldn't
recommend it.

what you might do is
to create a centralized
location for all temp
files.

i suggest for you to
make a c:\temp folder.

then move everyone's
internet temp folder
to the main one above.

what would also be
helpful to set the
environment paths for
temporaries files to
the one above as well
as in:

tmp=c:\temp
temp=c:\temp

the above would be
the first step to begin
managing the temp
files your system
accumulates.

more often than not,
everything in the temp
folder is expendable.
