Templates for handouts created in Word

Can I create my own template that could be used by PP when I use the "Publish
: create handouts in Word". Or is it possible to modify the one used by PP
when it creates the new file in Word.

It is a bit painful to have to re-arrange the whole document in Word, when
you have a lot of slides.

No, but you could create macros in Word to help you automate the formatting.
