Page number on handout 2003/2007

I cannot get the page numbers to print when I print my handouts in PP 2003
or 2007. I've gone into the handout master, checked the box for page number
and on the master layout view I see "<#>" and even added the word "Page" so
I see "Page <#>" on the . When I print I see the word "Page" but I do not
see the number. Using the same concept I can get my slide numbers to appear.
Suggestions?

You have to turn on the number part in View | Headers and Footers.
