When I print a handout and even though the date and time, page number are not
selected in the notes and handouts dialogue box, it still prints on the page.
Can anyone tell me why and how to fix it?

Hi Bev

Which notes and handouts dialogue box? Do you mean the tickboxes found in
the placeholder section of view -> handout master and view -> notes master?

When you click on insert, headers and footers, and then the notes and
handouts tab. Even though you deselect everything here, it will still print
the date and the page number on the printed copy. Any suggestions?

Are the page number and the date visible on the slide? Maybe they are stored
in a textbox on every single slide. Than they will not be hidden by
deactivating the option. You will have to delete them piece by piece on
every slide.

Hi Bev

It appears to me that the 'insert headers & footers' setting is overruled by
the settings in the view -> handout master -> placeholder bit. Try unticking
everything there and then using office button -> print -> print preview to
see if you get the desired results - don't forget to change the 'print what'
drop down to 'handouts'.
