Hi -

I have a template that I've used several times called "solers.dot". For some
reason the last time I wanted to use this template the name of it changed to
"solers.dot.dot" in the Templates and Add-ins window. When I select the
"solers.dot" template from the template folder and click "Organizer", Word
tells me the template does not exist.

Any clues?

You've turned on display of extensions for common file types. (I always
leave this turned on.) You had previously named your template and typed the
..dot extension yourself with this view option turned off.

I am assuming that you used File > Save As to save your template as a
template, rather than simply renaming in Windows.

With the file showing the .dot.dot extensions in Windows (and with Word
closed) delete the last of these extensions.

Yes! - thanks, that fixed the problem after a little playing around.
