Temperatures too high?, or not:

I have an AMD Athlon Dual Core 4600+ and the core temperature runs a
consistent 52 degrees (c). The MB runs about 41(c). Is this CPU running too
hot? The board is an ASUS.

Not dangerously hot, but warm enough to see what you can do about
cooling it better. As your motherboard temp is also high, it's probably
a matter of adding case fans /improving airflow.

I tried ventilating it better, but the temperatures didn't change. Could
they be normal for this CPU and board?

I Wouldn't say they're gonna burnout or nothin, but they are not
exactly NoMINal, I would see what you can do about thermal compound
(I use arctic silver), bigger fan, chassis fan setup and airflow
patterns
