Help! I have been working on a doc that I have saved on my desktop. Whenever I periodically save this document, another .tmp file is created and shows up on my desktop. After working for an hour, I had about 40 of these .tmp files on my desktop. How do I get this to stop?? It doesn't matter where I have the word doc saved, or whether I periodically save it by clicking the disk icon or pressing ctrl+ save. Any thoughts?

The only way to stop the accumulation is to close and reopen the file.
Naturally, this is much less noticeable if you don't save the file to the
desktop and don't display "All Files" in Word's File Open/Save dialogs.
