I have had Windows XP for about two years.
On Sunday 3/7/04 I installed DSL service from SBC
Communications. For the first hour I was able to browse
the internet but had continual interuptions of my computer
freezing. I would press control/alt/delete and stop each
task. The problem was becoming more and more chronic. At
that point I finally shut the computer down using the CPU.
Since then my computer screen alternates between three
screens; black screen, log on screen(with an error message
that states "Delayed Write Failed" with a red circle and
an X, and the screen saver. Can you please help me with
this problem???

your possible answer is your hard disc is dying and you are
trying to download massive files.or sbc seems to screw up
more than its share of computers.

Have you tried booting from your WinXP CD and doing a repair install?
