TCP/IP issues

I have an XP pro workstation attached to Novell tree and a 2K domain. It
get's its IP from DHCP on the windows domain. Friday Ip stopped working
inside the network.
I can not access anything IP in the local network, but I CAN access the
internet. It can get the ip address from DHCP but I can not ping the dhcp
server or the gateway or anything else inside the network but I can ping
websites outside of the network on the internet. I have removed ipx and all
of the novell client I removed the Microsoft client and all other protocols,
but I still can't ping anything inside the network. I can traceroute to
websites and release and renew the ip I can ping loopback and my IP address
I can ping my computer from other computers on the network/
I have reset tcp/ip with netsh.
Anyone out there seen this before? Got any Ideas?

Can you ping other computers on your LAN by numeric IP address? If so,
sounds like a DNS issue.
