Taskmanager without taskbar

Anders Floderus

Is it possible to start the Task Manager without
right-clicking the taskbar?

My problem is that when I was surfing the net,
I got to a page that covered the whole screen
including the taskbar. It also opened a modal
dialog window that I did not want to touch, so
I wanted to stop the browser process. As the
taskbar was hidden, I could not do it so I
stopped the computer with the hard power
button. Next time I would prefere some way
to start the Task Manager and just stop the
browser.

Thanks for any answer.

Ctrl-Alt-Del

I hope that you ran some scans for malware after your experience. If you

Hi Anders,

Ctrl+shift+escape gives you the task manager direct whether or not the
welcome screen is enabled. Ctrl+alt+delete will give it to you if the
Welcome screen is enabled, otherwise it will give you a menu of functions,
of which Task Manager will be one.
