taskbar

for some weird reason, my taskbar is not showing "opened
windows" anymore. i have to use alt-tab to switch
between "opened windows". the quicklaunch toolbar showing
fine, language bar showing fine. once i close these two
toolbars, the taskbar will just disappear.

can someone help me?
