taskbar woes

I inadvertently change my taskbar: instead of one row it now displays on
two rows. And I can't get it back to one row!!
I unfortunately didn't have any restore point to restore to.
Any idea?

"Grab" the top edge of the taskbar with your cursor | "Push" it all the way
up | Now "pull" it all the way down.

Why don't you have a Restore Point?

Right click on the Taskbar and unlock it. Put the pointer on the top edge so
you get a double arrow and drag in down to one row. Lock the Taskbar.

Also see Bruce's reply. (I forgot the Unlock/Lock taskbar steps.)

Which part doesn't work? Can you unlock the toolbar? Does the pointer change
into a double arrow? Can you move the Taskbar up at all? And then down?

The Quick Launch Toolbar has a tendency to take up the top row, and its
vertical divider moves to the start of the second row, just to the right
of the Start button. Here are two ways to possibly make the Taskbar
adjustable again:

1. Disable the QL Toolbar, resize the Taskbar, re-enable the QL Toolbar.

2. Click the vertical divider in the lower row, just right of the Start
button, and drag it to the upper-right till it's just to the right of
the top toolbar. Release there. See if you can then resize the Taskbar.

It worked. Thanks a lot.
And thanks to all the others too.
