Hi-- I have WindowsXP SP2 installed and all has been well until suddenly one
day the taskbar migrated to the top of the screen w/o my doing. I've right
clicked to make sure it's not locked and tried to drag it back to the bottom
but no go! Any advice on this? Thanks

1. Right-click on the Taskbar, point to Toolbar and uncheck any Toolbar
listed e.g. Quick Launch.
2. Now, try to drag and drop the Taskbar to the bottom of screen in one short.
3. Once settled recheck the Toolbar you needed.

Hope this help, let us know!

Nope, almost certainly you dragged it there yourself, but did it
accidentally without realizing it.

Try dragging it to one side first, then dragging it from the side to the
bottom.

Maybe I was sleep walking and texting at the same time 'cause I have no
recollection of doing this or even how to. Heck I didn't evev know they could
be moved. This baby ain't budging -- no side to side--no nothing. Any other
suggestions?

Yep. You can have it on whatever side you prefer it on.

Make sure you are clicking *within* the task bar not on its edge, then
dragging it.

I don't know what else to tell you. If it isn't locked, it always moves this
way. This a standard feature of Windows, and there's nothing special you
have to do. If it isn't working, you must be doing something wrong, but I
can't imagine what, and I can't guess without seeing your computer.

Sounds like it is stuck on stupid..

Unlock it and try resizing it back and force a couple times before trying to
move it.

If that don't work, try rebooting and see if that flushes it out.

If that don't work, then:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/restoretaskbar.reg

(Save that page to your desktop and just double-click it. It will restore
the default registry settings for the taskbar.)

If that don't work, start becoming paranoid of something malicious...
