Taskbar missing in Win xp sp2

Hi

I recently installed windows xp pro incl service pack 2 on my desktop.
Sometimes when I log on to remote desktop til taskbar i missing, but I can
acces the startmenu with the ctrl+esc shortcut. It has now spread itself to
the normal login.
Today after returning from the screensaver the taskbar was missing, so
there is a blank space at the buttom of the screen. There isn't any
reaction to the mousebutton in the area, but everything else works fine

Hope somebody knows how to resolve the issue

Hello Martin, 2 things you could try. First point your mouse right at the
bottom of the screen, I mean right at the bottom and see if you can drag it
out.. You may find that the task bar is there, just hiding under the black
edge. If that fails do the same on the other three sides - you may have moved
it by mistake. Good luck, Nennie
