taskbar looks strange and speaker was deleted/disabled overnight..

Hi. I turned on the computer this mornig, and I found the task bar at the
bottom looked strange and white. The start button looked smaller. My speaker
disappeared too...

I didn't do anything new yesterday. I am wondering why this happened...
I did Norton scan and there was no problems found.
Eventually, I managed to do the system restore. Now the task bar looks as
before. The speaker cam back too.

I am not very computer litelate, and this kind of thing/sudden unexplained
change spooks me...

Does this has anything to do with recent Office 2003 update ??? That is the
last change my computer had.
