taskbar issue

i don't know what i'm after doing, but now my open windows don't show on my
taskbar, ie. the small buttons that allow you to switch between open programs
are gone. i have checked the other profiles on the computer and only mine has
this problem. it's really frustrating.
can someone help me?

Anyway - this problem is reported on a regular base and therefore, it's
most likely caused by malware.

You're certainly welcome. Now you may want to scan your system for mal-
ware since nothing comes out of the blue.
