Taskbar hangs in up position at times in auto hide

The Taskbar on my machine and others that i work on hangs
in up position at times with auto hide set in
properties .
I have to go to the setup and remove auto hide and reset
auto hide to get it to work.

Can you check to see if any buttons are flashing or orange - these windows
are trying to get your attention (i.e. they want to steal focus). If you
switch to these windows, the taskbar should be able to re-hide.
