Taskbar balloon popups hidden

When I hover over an item in the taskbar, I get a balloon popup with
more information, but it displays behind the taskbar, so I can not see it.

This is with taskbar locked or not locked - a one row task bar (not
heightened).

Is there a fix for this?

Not really. This is a known problem. Either reboot or open the Task
Manager...

Ctrl + Shift + Escape | Processes tab | Locate and highlight
explorer.exe | Right click explorer.exe | End Process | Answer
Yes | File | New Task (Run...) | Type: explorer | OK

End Task on explorer.exe will make your Desktop and all programs disappear.
Restarting explorer will bring everything back.

Thanks. That fixes the balloons.

I also never knew I could restart explorer (may be useful when it
crashes). There are several items missing from the systray after I
restart explorer, but I suppose this could help me through a rough
situation.

Thanks,
Chuck
