Task Scheduler Fix Didn't Work

When I try to schedule a task, I am prompted for my password. I do not have
any passwords enabled. When I try to proceed, I get this error:

"0x80070005 Access is denied. You do not have permission to perform the
requested operation".

I found the Microsoft fix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/904423

I downloaded and installed the fix, but I am still getting the same error.
What can be done to get around this problem?

I am using WinXP v2002, SP2

Thank you.

I would set a password, then schedule the task.

I should have mentioned: the task scheduler invited me to set a password,
but after I did, the same error message appeared.

I meant: Set a password for your logon account, then use this
same password for your scheduled tasks.

Even better: Create a new account with administrative privileges,
give it a password, then use this account exclusively for your
scheduled tasks. This is the way it's normally done.
