Task scheduler does not schedule tasks

Win xp Pro task schedule will not run a task at its appointed time.

The task is scheduled "daily". This computer does not run 24 hours a
day, but is normally on at the time that the task should run.

Each day, the scheduler correctly updates the "next time" but the
"last time run" will be "never", or it will be the last time that the
task was run from a right-click. (The task will run properly from a
right-click and "run" click... every time... so it is not a file
access problem).

Schedlgu.txt shows the "Task Scheduler Service" Started and Exited
entries when the computer is booted and shut-down. It also has the
entries for the task whenever it is run by right-click, and all
"Resutlts" are shown as exit code 0.

But at the actual time of schedule, there is no entry at all.

The task properties show the task scheduled "daily" every "1" days, at
"19:08".

None of the entries under the "advanced" button are checked.

Scheduled Tasks will not run if you have recently changed your user name or
if you are using a blank password. make sure your account has a password

No... there is something else going on.

This is a brand-new account (admin privilege), with a password, that
has never been renamed.
