when ever i open up task manager the task named:
system idle process is taking up about 98 percent of my
cpu what gives?
 
Apparently, you are misinterpreting the information.
Open Task Manager and look at it again. Your CPU
usage is only 2% which means 98% of your CPU is
idling and waiting for something to do.
