Task manager tabs missing!

Hi
When i ctrl alt del and choose task manager i can see the programs that are
running but my tabs for choosing processes and performance have gone!

how do i get them back short of a format? i reinstalled over the top of xp
but it still happens!

Double click the border to toggle between mini and full modes.

In mini mode Ctrl + Tab and Alt + A4 still work.
