Task Manager SysTray icon gone

Hello all,

I always start task manager at system startup so that it runs minimized. It
used to display an icon indicating CPU usage in the systray. This icon has
recently disappeared and I can find no way to get it back.

What's the trick? or has it been removed for some reason.

Thanks in advance,

john.

Yup, I have that set, so when I minimize task manager I get no tab is the
taskbar, but I never see an icon in the systray. It used to be a green blob
, more green=more CPU usage.

I'm sure I used to see it on Vista, but its been gone for some time now.

You have to customize the notification area so that it "always shows". Right
click on the clock and go to customize notification icons.

That got it Richard, thanks. Needed a reboot before it took effect but I can
live with that.

Cheers,

John.
