Hi All
I would like to find out more about some processes that my PC runs -
whenever I start task manager, there is lots of prcesses running, even
though I very rarely run more then couple of applications at the time. I am
sure that background running processes are needed to keep the PC running
smoothly, but I am interested in learning what they do - some have obvious
and usefull names, some others do not.
Cheers,
George

The easiest way is to find their executable name, and do a search on google.
A lot of sites have good information about startup services. Also do a
search for black viper, he has a nice site about winxp services.

Try ProcessExplorer from Sysinternals.com
