Hi, How do you know what processes that are running and
taking up memory aren't necessary? I'm new at computers,
so please speak plainly.
Thanks very much.
PS How can I tell if this is effecting the memory left on
my computer? My memory usage re processes is
79968K/391536K.

If you are new to Windows 2000 then you should leave this area
alone. You risk crippling your machine. Here are some links that
