Task Manager Grayed Out with CTRL-ALT-DEL

I really need help figuring out this one. I've been
through the FAQs and reloaded Windows 2000 up to SP3.
(Also loaded the anti-Blast worm patch.)

Whenever I bring up the Windows Security screen with CTRL-
ALT-DEL, Task Manager is unavailable (grayed out). What
do I need to do to make Task Manager available again?

I just found the solution from Kevin Mattson, MCSE, on
microsoft.public.win2000.setup under Win 2k Pro Lost Task
Manager: "Launch gpedit.msc and have a look under User
Configuration-Administrative Templates-Logon-Disable Task
Manager. Set that policy to disabled." Many thanks and
much relief.

.
try the policies on the PC
Go into start> run> mmc
then highlight group policy and hit enter
Go through the policy for the PC and make sure it doesnt
say 'disabled... show task manager on shut down' it think
its how its phrased
