Task manager disabled by administrator

WShen I try to open Task Manager I get the error"Task manager disabled by
administrator"

I tried the fix in the community written KB, but a registry key it refered
to (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software]Microsoft\windows\currentversion\group
policy\object\localuser\software\Microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\system

was not in my registry. Perhaps the KB had a typo, I am the only user on my
laptop, and don't know how this happened. Any help would be GREATLY
appreciated.

Thank!

Thank you for taking the time to reply! I want to let you know that your
first fix, typing REG add
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v
DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f is the one that worked.

When I ran my Registry Fixer it of course marked it as an error and I marked
it to ignore it. I also installed Win XP SP2. Will this have changed this fix
or should I do anything else? Again, thanks for your expert help!!
