I am continually having a problem with accessing the task
manager when XP locks up. When XP locks I have tried
control-alt-del and nothing works. The mouse is also
locked and I cna not do anything except re-boot and I have
(as now) get an error message and XP will not load and I
have to re-load. Is there a way to access the task manager
when this happens?

If ctrl-alt-del can't get to it then it sounds like a hang related to your
keyboard/mouse/video drivers or hardware.

Are you using the windows xp drivers, or have you loaded those supplied by
the manufacturer.

Check for any unsigned drivers on your system which may be causing the
problem using the driver signature tool
