I am running win2k server sp 4. I have noticed that when I press Ctrl+ Alt +
Del and go to Task List Application, Processes and Performance tab is
missing. I can only see Processes details and can't go to any of the other
tab at all since all three of them is missing.

Any ideas?

You can get there by right-clicking the taskbar and selecting "Task Manager"
too.

Double-click just below the top edge of the task manager frame. That should
get it back again. Double clicking next to the tabs will hide them again.

Don't ask me why this 'feature' made its way into Windows. I have no idea....

Andrew,

This "feature" was added to permit utilizing the Task
Manager in a manner which won't eat up as much real
estate on your display. For example, if you wanted to
leave Task Manager open all the time to monitor, say, CPU
usage, you could select the Performance tab, double click
to remove the borders, and resize the Task Manager to a
very small size which might sit in the corner of the
display and take very little space indeed. We use this as
a portion of our monitoring tools here at the Chicago
Board of Trade, and we run several tools at the same time,
so being able to shrink them down allows us to see
everything on one screen.

Did you try the double-click below the top edge of the task manager as I
mentioned?
