Can anyone tell me how to reduce the height of the task
bar? It is now about 1 inch high.

Move your mouse over the top edge, then drag down when double headed arrow
appears. Then right click task bar and click lock task bar.

First right click on an empty area of the taskbar and remove the check on
"Lock the Taskbar". If your taskbar is at the bottom, place your mouse at
the top edge of the bar, left click and drag it down. easy.

Pretty simple....

Move the mouse cursor to the edge of the task bar and the
mouse cursor would change itself. The cusor will now have
two arrows. Left-click the mouse button and drag down the
task bar simultaneously. Whilst make sure that the task
bar is unlocked.

Right-click the task bar and ucheck the lock taskbar
option.
