Taskbar xp pro

My task bar height is about a inch tall. When I try and
reduce the size it disappears. It will NOT go any smaller
then a inch or so. What can I do to set it back to a
normal size?

Rt click on Taskbar>Select Properties>Taskbar. Uncheck Lock the Taskbar
Box.
