Task Bar Icons How remove a duplicate

I have win XP Pro and find two printer icons in the task bar
With Win98SE I would have no problem in removing onewith msconfig, however
I have tried everything I can thnk of with XP but can find no way to
remove a taskbar icon.

Any help really appreciated,

Try clearing your "past items" (you can see these by right clicking the
taskbar, properties, under Taskbar click "Customize.")

I saved that info,...I jusat downloaded and the d;up was gone
