Tagging Contacts

I am trying to attach tags to my email contacts in my contacts folder. i
opened my contacts folder --> opened a contact file--> opened
properties-->opened details-->and i could not delete,add, or change any
items. No tag option appeared ,so, i was intending to add one. the help
appeared clear. What am I doing wrong?

You're looking at the Windows file properties of that contact.
To edit a contact, double-click it.

Double clicking allows my to edit a contact , but, NOT tag it. I want to tag it

Double clicking will Not allow me to Tag it. How do I tag it? Double clicking
will allow me to change the data . Not a tag

You can only add tags to certain file types.... apparently .contact is not
one of them.
