Tablet PC Problems

Ivo Burkart

Hi, I'm running Powerpoint 07 on a Tablet PC in Two-Screen-Mode

Now everytime i try to draw something on the slide with the marker during
presentation it is interpreted as a 'click' and advances to the next slide.
Is there anyway to prevent this? (Only advance to the next slide when i
press one of the blue arrow buttons on my primary screen)

Thank in advance
Ivo

Are you clicking with the mouse or the pen? And are you running XP or Vista?

One thought I have is to change to the pen using Presenter Mode and then
draw on the presenter mode slide. It shouldn't advance then. If it is still
advancing from there, let me know. I may need more details on what EXACTLY
you are doing.

Hi Cathy

I'm running Vista and using the Pen exclusively (I also have an
Laserpointer/PPT-Controler connected with a back and forward button, but it
is detected as USB keyboard.)

EXACTLY you are doing.

That is exactly what I'm doing: (All inputs with pen)
1) I connect the Video Beamer to my VGA-Port
2) I set it up as Extended Desktop (2nd Display)
3) I load the PPTX in Powerpoint 2007
4) Presentation->Screens->Resolution to 1024x768 (which is my tablets and
the beamers native resolution)
5) Presentation->Screens->Presenter Mode
6) Presentation->Start->From Beginning
7) Now I tap on the Pen-Icon in Presenter-Mode and Select Marker (or Pen
makes no difference)
8) I can draw something on the slide but as soon as i tap down to start
drawing it advances one step. The Drawing can be seen if there is an
animation on the slide that "eats" one click.

Thanks in advance
Ivo

Ivo,
I have an idea, but it will take me a bit to get set up so that I can show
you what I do. I am running Vista on my tablet also, so I should be able to
add a second monitor, set things up, and record a Jing for you... Won't be
until later today though. Is that ok?

Of course. Thank you very much.
