Table Problem

I have a question
I go to insert, then table, then pick a two column table with two rows. I push ok. It comes up on the screen fine, but then I try to type in one of the cells. Once I start to type, the cell right of the one I'm typing in moves over. I've used Frontpage 2002, and it doesn't do this. Can anyone help me so the cells don't move to the right when I type?
