Is there any way in IE 6 to keep websites open or tabbed. I used to use
Firefox browser and you could use tabbed browsing which was so efficient. I
have looked on the help menus and cannot find out if you could do this on
Internet Explorer.
Thanks.

If IE supports Tabbed Browsing, there will be no options of turning it off
because who want to disable such a useful thing.
But sadly, there is no tabbed browsing support in Internet Explorer

I have heard that the new version of IE will have tabbed browsing (IE in
Windows Vista) ... whether that will be available for download to XP users
will yet to be known.

IE6 does not support tabbed browsing. IE7, now in it's 3rd beta
release, does.

Checkout SlimBrowser by FlashPeak http://www.flashpeak.com/
It's free, uses tabbed browsing and uses the IE engine. I've been
using it for several years with no issues. The only use I have now for
IE is to access the Microsoft Update pages.

I downloaded this and it is FANTASTIC. It works great and even looks kind
of cool. This is even easier than tabbed browsing, because it does it
automatically. Thanks Zilbandy:)

Ya , it's great and i am using it as the default browser but sometimes when
i try to close it, it just hangs and i have to kill it's process but i still
like it.

IE6 has no support. You can use a third party IE based browser such as
Maxthon or install the IE7 BETA2.

Hi again, another question about slimbrowser. Is there any way to get rid
of some of the icons on the top toolbar - the toolbar that has - file -
edit - view, etc? I have tried the "organzie toolbar" but those weren't in
it. I have been able to customize the rest of the toolbars wonderfully. I
love this slimbrowser. It does everything. Thanks again.

You cannot get rid of the items [ File, Edit, Autologin etc.] . If it's something else e.g. Toolbar, right click empty space on any toolbar > Uncheck the entry for that toolbar. If you don't know which one it is, try unchecking the entries until you find it.

You need to wait until IE7 is officially released or look at IE 'skins' such as Maxthon or Avant. I've been using
Avant for probably close to two years and love it. You can find it at http://www.avantbrowser.com/
